Hardware Wallet ‘Ledger’ Taps iPod Creator Tony Fadell to Design the New ‘Ledger Stax’

@Ledger, the crypto wallet maker known for its top-of-the-line hardware wallets, announced today that it tapped design pioneer Tony Fadell (@tfadell), best known as the “Father of the iPod” and the co-founder of Nest Labs, to design the new Ledger Stax.

Ledger, a fast-growing company launched in 2014 by eight security experts, develops robust security solutions for cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and blockchain applications allowing users to store their digital assets safely.

Ledger Stax is a credit-card-sized device enabling you to manage over 500 digital assets, your NFT collections and to explore an ever-growing range of web3 apps through the Ledger Live app, connecting it to your smartphone via Bluetooth®.

“With the Ledger Nano™ series, we created the most successful digital asset security hardware wallet of all time – with more than 5 million sold and none ever hacked,” says Pascal Gauthier (@pascal__gauthier), CEO and Chairman of Ledger.

“Digital assets are increasingly about identity and digital ownership, not just crypto like Bitcoin. The time is now for a device for more mainstream users. At the same time, we must not compromise on security. This is Ledger Stax—secure and accessible.”

You can also purchase the Ledger Stax through the official Ledger Market now, with a wider release set for next week. Ledgers purchased through the Market include a free protective magnet shell and a free Art On Ledger NFT.

The Art On Ledger Stax Mint Pass allows holders to mint an artwork NFT in the Art On Stax Generative NFT Drop. Mint Passes will be issued one-to-one to purchasers of the Ledger Stax NFT. Each Art On Stax Mint Pass will be redeemable for one artwork from one of the five participating artists, which will be minted randomly.

The Ledger Stax is priced at $275, but you can pick up its counterparts, the Nano X or Nano S, which work just as well without the touch screen. Everyone should own a hardware wallet. Will you be grabbing a hardware wallet anytime soon? Let us know in the comments below. 👇🏽
