FUD is an acronym for “fear, uncertainty, and doubt,” a term used by web3 enthusiasts to describe the sharing of negative, often untrue propaganda to attack or control the narrative of a project or asset.

You will often hear that someone is “fudding” a project or that a government is trying to spread fud in the market. It is essential to distinguish between a person or group of people fudding a project and those trying to spread awareness about a potential scam or “rug pull.”
