Elon Musk Acquires Twitter For 44 Billion Dollars

Today, Twitter announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Elon Musk . The deal comes only a week after Elon announced his interest in acquiring the company. The final price came in at $54.20 per share a 38% on its current market value, brining the grand total to approximately $44 billion dollars.

“Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” musk wrote.

Twitter is now a private company, excited to see how this plays out.
