DYOR (Do Your Own Research) – KEY TERMS
DYOR is an acronym for “Do Your Own Research,” a term used by web3 enthusiasts to encourage their audience to research a project before investing.
Often, “DYOR” is used as a disclaimer. When an influencer makes a public post about a project, you’ll occasionally catch a “DYOR” at the end to remind followers to make informed decisions based on personal research.
It’s important to distinguish between a person/group discussing a project analytically and those just “pumping their own bags.” We suggest making a list of baseline requirements and questions for yourself, the community and often times founders, that help you determine if a project is right for you. Don’t get “rekt”!
